The 20 Tanzanian members of the Amani Group gathered inside a brightly colored church as they do every month.
The group’s chairman, a thin man in a tan polo, climbed onto a chair and proclaimed again, “Weka abika!”
Again, the small crowd responded with fervor, “Boresha maisha!”

Jóvenes en Camino (JEC) is a Christ-centered child protection home that has cared for orphaned and abandoned boys since 2004.
