Laura Hickman — Director of Orphan Transition
Laura holds a Master’s Degree in Special Education, with a specialization in Behavior Disorders from Vanderbilt University. Prior to that she earned a Bachelor’s of Science with a double major in Elementary Education and Human and Organizational Development from Vanderbilt University.
Laura has directed work with orphans in transition in Panama, Dominican Republic, and Colombia, overseeing planning, strategy, implementation, and evaluation of programs and program partner organizations. Prior to that, she served as a teacher in Nashville for seven years. In both roles, Laura employed a consultative approach to produce change. She empowered partners and students to build their own capacity through active listening and assisting them to think through their own solutions by challenging old assumptions and presenting new ideas.
When not working on a project for Flint Global Partners, she may be found in Nashville, TN, spending time with her husband and three teenage daughters, wrangling her 80 pound puppy, leading a small group, or adventuring around the globe.
Caleb Meeks — Director of Innovation
Caleb grew up in Kenya, East Africa until he was eight years old and then lived in rural East Tennessee for the remainder of his childhood. He and his wife Kristina move to Tanzania for four years after college working among the Makonde people where they learned Swahili and gained a deeper appreciation for their Christian faith and the great need and potential in the world. They are the delighted parents of five amazing children and are currently based in Nashville, Tennessee. Caleb was an entrepreneur from an early age, starting an organic chicken farm in high school. He studied mechanical engineering at Harding University and is currently working on a masters degree in civil engineering for developing communities at the University of Colorado Boulder. He loves hearing and telling stories and is always on the lookout for ways to innovate at Flint
David Reeves - Director of Programs
It is David’s passion to see lives fully restored and brokenness healed that drives his work. David has over 20 years of experience in the development field in over 10 countries. His specialties are sustainability, regenerative agriculture, and village savings and loans. He has spent the past 8 years working with nonprofit organizations in both the United States and on the African continent. David holds a Masters degree in Sustainable Practice with an emphasis on Sustainable Food Production from Lipscomb University. He also holds certification in Sustainable Community Development from Colorado State University. David works with Flint Global Partners as their Director of Programs and as specialist in all things related to regenerative agriculture and village savings and loans. Working in this field has taught David to trust, listen, and yield to local people in the development process. They know best.

Travis Trull — Executive Director
Travis co-founded two businesses, one in the US and another in East Africa. He also started and managed an internationally located not-for-profit organization. His business experience includes executive leadership and management, marketing, and business development in manufacturing, online learning, real estate, and tourism. Born in Kenya, Travis has spent more of his life in East Africa than he has in the United States, and has traveled to more than forty countries. His extensive intercultural experience, language skills, and proficiency in both urban and rural environments of developing countries bring valuable perspective and insight to his business background. He has a history of serving others as a facilitator, trainer, coach, and mentor in all of the places he has lived and worked. In addition to serving as Executive Director of Flint Global, Travis spent 2020 overseeing management and coordination of over 6,000 farmers in Uganda producing over $750,000 of product.
